The All-New 2024 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison Sets New Standards in Off-Road Performance
June 16 2023,
In an audacious partnership with American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), Chevrolet is ready to conquer the off-road with the all-new 2024 Colorado ZR2 Bison. This truck, praised as America's ultimate off-road beast, is a testament to Chevrolet’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of automotive performance and technology.
The 2024 ZR2 Bison promises a no-compromise approach to extreme off-road performance, holding the title of the most off-road-capable midsize truck. It's been rigorously tested in competition and on the Rubicon Trail by none other than champion off-road racer Chad Hall. Packed with AEV off-road enhancements, the Bison looks set to redefine expectations in terms of ride quality, handling, and safety.
Key to the Bison's prowess is a range of exclusive and high-performance features. It boasts segment-exclusive Multimatic front and rear Jounce Control Dampers, AEV heavy-duty winch-capable front bumper, and AEV 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels with equally exclusive 35-inch OD Mud/Terrain tires. To protect its undercarriage, the vehicle is fitted with Boron steel skid plates and rocker protectors. Also, with best-in-class ground clearance of 12.2 inches and unrivaled approach, departure, and breakover angles, the Bison is indeed built to tackle any terrain.
Under the hood, the 2024 ZR2 Bison packs a standard 2.7L Turbo High-Output powertrain, pushing out a robust 310 HP. Coupled with 8-speed automatic transmission, power-locking front and rear differentials, and a 4WD & 2-speed transfer case, it is primed for anything. Payload and towing capacities stand at 1,050 pounds and 5,500 pounds respectively. Unfortunately, fuel efficiency figures are yet to be released.
Safety is not an afterthought with the Bison, which comes standard with the Chevy Safety Assist package. This includes features such as Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, and Forward Collision Alert. An available Adaptive Cruise Control system further adds to the truck's driver assistance features.
As for infotainment, the 2024 Colorado ZR2 Bison is not short of modern tech. An 11.3-inch diagonal color touchscreen with Google built-in graces the cabin, supported by wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and Wi-Fi Hotspot capability.
Indeed, the all-new 2024 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison, made in partnership with AEV, represents an exciting evolution in midsize off-road trucks.
